In an official statement on Friday (08/02/2016), Samsung spokesman said the company is committed to making the highest quality products and respond to all incidents seriously.
"Regarding the report on the case of the Galaxy Note 7 happened recently, we have conducted an investigation and found obstacles in batteries," said the spokesman.
According to Samsung, until today (1 September 2016) there were 35 cases reported globally and Samsung do a thorough inspection with the suppliers to identify whether there are other batteries were affected in the market.
For that purpose, then Samsung decided to stop selling the Galaxy Note 7.
"Considering the safety of consumers is a top priority for Samsung, then we have to stop selling Galaxy Note 7," the spokesman said.
For consumers who already have the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung will replace it with a new unit within the next few weeks.
Battery Problems
