Google Actually Get the Money Transaction to Singapore

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) chimed in tax issues related to Google Indonesia. Ministry spokesman said the current Google new form of representative offices only and fro the transaction was carried out in Singapore.

In Indonesia, according to Acting Head of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Kominfo Noor Iza, Google actually get the money transaction to Singapore so that each such transaction escape taxes.

"Try to check. Pool (Google) Asia-Pacific region into one country. Google the transaction is directed to Google Inc. located in Singapore, "said Noor.

"We hope Google will be wise in this business problems and provide equality. Transactions do in-pool in certain countries, the (resulting) detrimental to countries that provide its expenditure to Google, "he said.

Noor Iza recognizes the search engine giant has formed a local company on behalf of Google Indonesia PT. However, it does not mean the company has formed a permanent establishment (BUT) and obey the tax.

Noor added that the current Google officials already eyeing Indonesia as a country that has an important role. More or less, the position of Indonesia can be equated with India and Brazil.

The government has also asked Google to treat the tax that is equivalent to the two states. Because in India, the Internet giant would be a company with the status of BUT.

Transactions ads in India was channeled to Google India, then taxed by the state. In fact, the tax rate was mentioned quite large.

As reported earlier, the Directorate General of Taxation stating Google has refused to be examined relating to the obligation to pay tax in Indonesia.

Related to this issue, a Google spokeswoman Indonesia said that so far it has paid taxes and follow the rules established by the Government of Indonesia. The company also has been established as a legal entity in Indonesia.

"PT Google Indonesia Indonesia has been operating as a corporation since 2011. We have been and will continue to cooperate with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and has been dutifully paying all applicable taxes in Indonesia," said Head of Corporate Communication Google Indonesia, Jason Tedjakusuma, when contacted Bojez Creative, Friday (16/09/2016).
